i spoke to my father about relationships last night and he gave me one of those corny analogies that end up making a lot of sense. "Its like pruning a plant" he said of caring for a relationship. A relationship takes compromise and will die without it. You have to trim a tree in the right way for it to grow. It loses parts of itself for itself. I can dig it.
