You can imagine two extremes but then there is a likeness of the worlds that is is melding. Imagine how Wiley must view people, if this is his visual. The pieces are like these 18th-Century Portaits featuring Urban Black Men. The images are always strong -- sometimes heroic and some a bit peculiar. Take a look at his site for collections of work. Right now you can catch the Kehinde Wiley Solo Show at Harlem's Studio Museum until 10/28/08. If you recall the VH1 Hip Honors Paintings of LL or Kane yada yada yada, Kehinde did those. It would be ill to see an Obama joint, i think.
